Random Rubbish Talk

Muahaha…I have been neglecting my blog lately. Today I’m in cranky mood, so I’m going to blog random rubbish.

My office recently went through some refurbishment. Something they are doing so that we will be motivated to go to work. But somehow the colour coordination is soooooooo OUT. Why is “so” so long and “OUT” in capslock? Because the walls are GREEN and the cubicle walls are PURPLE! Seriously, since the day they changed the colours, I’ve avoided wearing purple or green clothes to work so that I don’t camouflage myself with the walls.

Yeah while we are at the renovation topic, did I mention? They also renovated the toilets to be like hotel standard. It’s fitted with yellow romantic lights and table top sinks. Only thing missing is light music while you’re doing your business. One day, not long after the toilet was ready, I had to use the ladies as usual. I walked into a cubicle, locked the door and turned around. Guess what? Everything was wet! The walls, whole toilet seat, toilet paper holder, Rentokil and rubbish bin. Seems like someone took a bath in there with the “wash backside hose”! (So nice meh the toilet?)

Another thing, they put up a wallpaper with pictures at one corner of the office. It’s 3 pictures combined into 1. On the left we have a modern looking kitchen, on the right we have a modern looking living room and in the middle there’s this picture of a lake in a jungle. These 3 pictures, were pieced together as if the lake was a view out from the big glass window of the modern house. And they did this by pasting some 2D looking tiles at the bottom of the lake picture…stupiak! Believe me, it’s the ugliest wallpaper I’ve ever seen in my life. Even the wallpaper that they use to cover the doors for shop under renovation looks better.

When I’m free I shall take pictures to share my horrific experience.

My work place will be observing shutdown for Xmas and New Year. Hence, my boss asked us to apply for annual leave. Somehow (I don’t know why), she cannot pronounce annual leave properly. In front of the whole room of people, she said “All of you can start applying for your Annal Leave” =.=” – OKAY! Somehow the whole room doesn’t seem to find it funny and I was the only one trying to keep a straight face.

Bacardi Poisoning

2.30 am - Feeling uneasy, roll around and hope it will go away.

3.00 am - Cannot tahan want to vomit d, stand up but feel dizzy. Faster wake Keith up and ask him go with me go vomit.

3.05 am - Vomit the most disgusting sour tasting concoction. Damn painful because some came up from the nose.

3.30 am - Vomit again (less sour)

4.00 am - Vomit again - taruh 2 Actal then cry because feeling too sick.

4.30 am - Vomit again - Keith made warm water and warm water bottle for me to hug to sleep. So nice...

5.00 am - Vomit again - neutral taste already

5.30 am - Purge - damn smelly

6.00 am - Vomit again - a bit bitter taste

6.30 am - Empty stomach churning - nothing else to vomit. Cannot tahan wake Keith up again and request for Milo. Vomit again - very bitter taste.

7.00 am - Fetch me out to look for Milo. Found Milo at the nearby clubhouse, thanks to the waiter who made the Milo on special request. The Milo was really lousy like 3 table spoon mix with one whole teko of water. But it tasted like heaven to me at that point of time.

8.00 am – Go back to sleep with new water bottle.

9.30 am – Puke the Milo

12.00 noon – Fever off and on; continuously feel like puking. Took 100plus, Melon, Panadol (thanks to doctor Joo Hwa)

4.00 pm – Ate Milo and potato bread

8.30 pm – See doctor and took medication

9.00 pm – Keith forced me to eat half piece of bread and 100plus.

9.30pm – Puked everything from afternoon onwards. Fever came back, so used the cooling pad from doctor Joo Hwa.

Next 2 days onwards on soft diet but still feel uneasy whenever there’s food intake. Despite all these I did not lose any weight ~ damn!!!

Bible proven wrong by science

I've always enjoyed reading. And lately the bible has been one of my reading source. Haha i know what you are thinking...Ok before you jump to conclusions, i would like to declare first. Yes you're right, I'm not a spiritual type of person and i can never imagine myself to be...it's just that i find it interesting, just like a discovery adventure for me. So i was reading some random passage in the bible and i found this....

The world is flat and has four corners. Ezekiel 7:2

Hahahahaha Oookay, i have no comment. I don't know if i should laugh or what....how can ppl believe this? It's so absurd!

Rainbow

Rainbows are often related with whimsical fairytales such as lovey-dovey happily ever after tales of prince and princess that finishes with a rainbow that happens to appear magically for the finale (even though there was no rain mentioned in the story). Not to mention, the pot of gold at the end of it that apparently belongs to no one. Anyhow, since I was a little girl, seeing rainbows never fail to lift my spirits. I’ll always be pointing excitedly and shouting “Rainbow! Rainbow” like I’ve never seen one in my entire life…hehehe

Anyway I decided to read up a little bit about rainbow myths…Here's some of it, but i'm not sure how true it is

· There’s a pot of gold placed at the end of the rainbow by angels and only a nude man could obtain the prize. I wonder who thought of that sicko story. Sounds like porn.

· Passing beneath the rainbow could turn a man into a woman and a woman into a man. Hmmm ah kua????

· The rainbow was put in the sky by God as a covenant with Noah that He would never again destroy the earth by flood….erm before god did that was the sunlight not a spectrum…hard to believe so…

· It’s a gateway between heaven and earth….you can’t step on light, you’ll have to float on the rainbow…but again if u can float why not take the direct path – which is vertically up?

· In Islam, the rainbow is said to have only four colors - - blue, green, red, and yellow - - all of which are related to the four elements of earth, water, wind, and fire. Rainbow already proven to have 7 colours la (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet)

When i chanced upon this picture in a magazine, first thing that struck my mind was.... what the heck was that? It looks like it's stuffed an awful lot of tissue or is it overdone botox job?

It looks fake to me....what's your take?

Dinner at Ping Hun and Ann's House

Really had fun cooking at Ping Hun and Ann's house on Thursday (2/10/2008). We are not cooking experts so we cooked pretty simple food. Ann did all the food planning, marketing and preparation (respect respect). I was just there to help out....and the guys just kacau-kacau everything. From the photos it looks like the guys are hard at work....but in actual they just there to kacau-kacau while the girls supervise hahaha. The food was proven suprerb because 5 of us (PH, Ann, Keith, Boogz and me) finished everything!

Check out the camera i got over the past weekend! Its absolutely fabulous and fantastic! After using the camera for a week, here's my own personal review

Highlights:

1. Smile shutter - The camera automatically detects a smile and captures a picture. With smile shutter i can now take my own photos while holding the camera with a steady hand.
2. Super Macro - This camera can capture pictures in super macro as close as 1cm. I'm super happy because the picture quality is so sharp i can even see the details that i can't even see with my naked eye.
3. Intelligent Scene Recognition - No more adjusting modes and multiple retakes to get the best picture according to scenes.
4. Fun - In camera photo editing, especially the happy smile editor and partial monochrome colour.
5. Optical Steady Shot - Ensures clear image despite my shaky hands.
6. 3.5" touch screen - Great viewing!

Lowlights:

1. Baterry Life - Average baterry life. Due to the large 3.5" screen.

Nothingless - is that a valid word?

Thursday, 6.30pm - it's been a hectic week. Monday seems like it was a minute ago. My work got stuck, having some issues, hence i can't proceed with my work. By right i should pack up and leave for home now. But i just don't feel like moving. I've actually spent the the last 30 minutes staring blindly at my monitor.

Don't know why i'm feeling a little weird. Maybe it's because i've been rushing and doing everything in super speed since 6.30am in the morning. And suddenly everything came to a halt so i'm experiencing a little inertia (resistance and object has to change in its state of motion). I just feel that my soul is just floating around,not knowing what to do next.

Reflecting back on the past few days, i realized that a lot of people show their true colours when they are feeling pressured. Some people have some funny frown which is permanent on their foreheads as they speak, some raise their voices a lot, some become very defensive and the worse of them all, the guy that slam down the phone in the meeting. Sigh...i have no comments.

I guess i should start relaxing now before the vicious cycle starts again tomorrow at 6am. Crap, just got IM that i should log in tonight to continue working. Meanwhile i'm going to go talk crap with my weird freind who doesn't want to go back also.

Merdeka Day Journal...

9.00am - Morning, the moment i woke up, i had to get ready for pot-bless. Anyway, we reached there (public beach behind brown prince) rather late (my fault totally). Luckily it was a cheerful sunny day - the past few days has been raining cats and dogs. Highlight of the event....Janelle in sexy bikini.

1.30 pm - Next stop, hair maintenance. After not visiting the hair saloon for so long, my hair is beginning to look like the amazon jungle. I also waste a lot of time everyday in front of my mirror trying to tame my hair - contributing to my lateness to everything. Hence it's time i visited the hair saloon. As usual, it's painstakingly slow. And the 5 hours in that chair was pure torture. Picture of me being tortured....

7.00pm - Next agenda, sleep for 2 hours.

9.00pm - Meet up with Keith and go see doctor for my flu and allergy.

12.00am - go home and sleep again.

As you can see from the above, i'm not exactly a patriotic person. I think ppl born after merdeka (51 years and below) are generally not as patriotic as those who went through those hard times during the war. Kekeke....

Wife’s Diary

Sunday night – I thought he was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a café to have some coffee. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment.

Conversation wasn’t flowing so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk, he agreed but his mind was far away. I asked him what was wrong – he said, “Nothing”. I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset – he said, “Nothing to do with me and not to worry”. On the way home I told him that I love him, he simple smiled and kept driving. I can’t explain his behavior. I don’t know why he didn’t say “I love you too”.

When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there and watched TV. He seemed so distant and absent. Finally I decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later, he followed suit. I decided that I could not take it anymore. So I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep. I started crying and cried until I fell asleep. I don’t know what to do.

I’m almost sure his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.
